Pennyroyal is the type of place you come to when you are in real need of a good break. Fresh country air, fantastic scenery, lots of wildlife and very little else. You will of course come across some great berry farms and if you are there in season you can pick your own. If you feel the need for shops and a little bit more people activity then Lorne is only a 15 drive away. King Parrot
King Parrot Cottages and Event Centre provides accommodation near the Great Ocean Road and Lorne in the Otway Ranges, nestled on the north-facing hillside of the spectacular Pennyroyal Valley. Consisting five cottages, lodge, hall and campground, King Parrot is a popular destination for romantic getaways, family holidays and retreats. The architecturally designed wood cottages are fully self-contained, ranging in size from single to four bedrooms, accommodating between two and fourteen people. Each offers comfort, character, cosy indoor fire places and privacy in a rustic 200 acre bush land setting, including stunning valley views. King Parrot also has a campground, surrounded by beautiful rainforest. There are eight camping sites, including three cabin-tents. Onsite facilities include a salt water pool, games room, bush walking tracks and small gym. We are also a farm stay with horses, miniature donkeys, alpacas as well as the abundance of wildlife that calls King Parrot land home (kangaroos, wallabys, lots of birdlife just to name a few). King Parrot is pet friendly. Take a hike through our gorgeous bush tracks with your furry friend, exploring diverse terrains from the rainforest valley floor to the north facing side of the Pennyroyal Valley. Walk along the creek and discover our waterfall, whilst admiring the canopy of trees, large ferns and fungi. King Parrot inspires you to disconnect, relax, recharge and reconnect with nature and with each other.
