Deans Marsh is one of the up and coming small towns hidden away in the heart of the Otway Ranges. It has a small but vibrant population and is just a short drive from Lorne on the Great Ocean Road making it an ideal location to explore both the Otways and the Great Ocean Road. The Otways is home to wonderful waterfalls and lush, temperate rainforests which cry out to be explored. ( Don’t forget your hiking boots! ) As you will be in the middle of a forest you will be able to get up close and personal with a diverse range of Australian bird and animal life and also the lush flora of the Otway Ranges including massive eucalyptus trees and majestic tree ferns. For those into their opera Deans Marsh is the birthplace of the renowned Wagnerian soprano Marjorie Lawrence (1907–1979).
